Why do small businesses need a website?

Because no one is using a phone book anymore. It’s true! When is the last time you used a phone book?

The problem is this:

Someone who loves you and your services will tell someone else about you. This is a good thing. A great thing, even! That person will jot your name down, or maybe only half your name, and then later will google you. You might have the best service in the area, but if they can’t find you on the web, you’ve lost their business.

A website is your best communication tool.

It is working for you at 8am on a monday and at 11pm on a Thursday. People in your home town can see it, but so can people in the next town over, and the next state, and the next country. A website can tell your story, tell people why it’s important that they choose you. It can educate people. It can share news. It can bring people together. And yes, it can sell your products (or online courses or e-books…) too.

Your small business needs a website.

3. The web makes you credible. If you’re not on the web, you don’t exist. Simple as that.
